IM - hirob, best clinical trial results
Already during the clinical trial patients and therapists were convinced about the very positive effect of the therapy with the "IM - hirob". Now the first results of the scientific report are published and show a much better outcome then expected.

IM - hirob, first results
With the development of the Rehabilitation Robot „IM-hirob“ the intelligent motion gmbh provides a solution for automated execution of the Hippotherapy. The very complex 3-dimensional movement of the horse’s back was analyzed using a 3D-motion-analysis system. It was then transferred, one to one, to the robot horse so that a physiological pattern of movement in the frame of the robot-therapy could be used. This exact imitation of the horse’s movement, a simple patient transfer as well as a considerable cost reduction enables the very broad use of this effective therapy for neurological patients. This could be after a stroke, craniocerebral trauma or for kids with a cerebral palsy, etc..
Recently, the prototype of the robot has been tested in a clinical trial at the Austrian State Hospital Hochzirl (Tirol). For Patients with neurological deficits in the area of the pelvic- and torsocontroll the first results show an improvement of torso stability, an improvement of the pelvic- and torso upright posture as well as an improvement of the selective pelvic movement. The seat, which is modeled according to a horseback, also promotes the mobility of the hip joints, which is an important prerequisite for walking.
